Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi was defrauded of Rs 1 crore 55 lakh by his business partners.
According to an Indian media report, actor Vivek Oberoi and his wife Priyanka Alva have filed a fraud case with the police.
The actor named in the suit Sanjay Saha, his mother Nandita Saha and Radhika Nanda, who had roped him into investing in his company on the assurance of profits.
According to Indian media, the actor told the police that the money was taken from me to invest in a film production and event organizing company, but it was later used for personal use.
The actor’s accountant told the police that when Vivek Oberoi came to know about the fraud in the company, he asked me for an audit, after which it was found that the company’s funds were used by Sanjay Saha and Radhika Nanda for personal expenses.
The accused had earlier been accused of defrauding Nawazuddin of Rs 51 lakh, which Vivek Oberoi had returned from his account.
The police have registered a case against the accused under the provisions of dishonesty and cheating.
