Islamabad: The High Court ordered contempt of court proceedings against the police officers for improper investigation of the cases.
The court while initiating the contempt of court proceedings directed to prepare a file of contempt of court proceedings against the SP and SDPO. Islamabad High Court Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri issued orders to take action against the police officers.
During the hearing, the court remarked that they should give a written answer, why not start regular contempt of court proceedings? . Why not initiate disciplinary action against you? The court ordered to appear in person and submit a reply within 10 days.
The Islamabad High Court adjourned further hearing of the case till August 3 and ordered to complete the trial of the murder case in 4 months. The court said that if the prosecution does not follow through, the accused can apply for bail again.
