Lahore Judicial Magistrate’s Court has issued permanent arrest warrant to former Federal Minister Monis Elahi as an accomplice in the money laundering case.
The magistrate issued the order on the request of the investigating officer of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The FIA investigating officer told the court that an attempt was made to investigate Mons Elahi, advertisements were also pasted.
The investigating officer said that the accused is deliberately hiding, a permanent arrest warrant should be issued.
It should be noted that last month the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) registered a case against former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, his son Monis Elahi and others.
The FIA filed charges of corruption and money laundering in the case.
According to the text of the FIR, a case has been registered against Monis Elahi and Parvez Elahi under the provisions of fraud, money laundering and corruption.
Mons Elahi was corrupt from 2004 to 2023 through frontman Gibran Khan.
In the text of the case, it was said that Monis Elahi committed corruption and money laundering with the help of his father Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
It was also stated in the case that Mons Elahi laundered the money earned through corruption and bribery, he transferred the money laundering funds abroad through various offshore and other fake companies.
