Another beautiful memory has been added to the timeline of Saira Banu, wife of legendary Bollywood hero Dilip Kumar (late Yusuf Khan), who recently joined Instagram.
On the photo and video sharing platform Instagram, yesteryear actress Saira Banu shared another golden memory of her relationship with Dilip Kumar with her fans.
Saira Banu has now shared the memorable moment with her fans when her late husband Dilip Kumar proposed to her for the first time.
In the Insta post, he shared a picture of Dilip Kumar wearing a raincoat, holding an umbrella and penned a long caption to capture the rain-related memories.
He wrote that the rainy season has always held a special significance for him and his family, as soon as the first drop of monsoon rain falls, there is a celebration in his house and everyone laughs at the rain on the terrace.
He said that Dilip Kumar loved rain so much that whenever he was in a meeting and it started raining, he would happily call him on the phone and tell him that ‘Saira is raining’.
Recounting her golden memory, she further wrote that once she and Dilip Kumar were walking late at night on the Juhu beach when suddenly it started raining and Dilip Kumar put his jacket over her shoulders and helped her sit in the car.
He further wrote that Dilip Kumar was a farmer at heart and proud that he was the son of a Peshawar fruit vendor, he also bought a hill station specifically to enjoy a rainy season.
According to Saira Bano, she and Dilip Kumar used to walk for hours on the green grass of this hill station during the rains and pick up the stones lying on the path and compete to throw them away and she would collect the stones.
Saira Banu said that they have some stones preserved even today.
