Tosha Khana case, Chairman PTI's request for exemption from today's attendance approved

The session court of Islamabad today accepted the plea of ​​exemption from the attendance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman in the Tosha Khana case.

Toshakhana case was heard against Chairman PTI in the District and Sessions Court.

The court ordered Chairman PTI to appear before the Sessions Court after appearing in the Supreme Court.

Election Commission’s lawyer Amjad Parvez and chairman PTI’s lawyer Gohar Ali Khan appeared in the court, while chairman PTI’s lawyer Khawaja Haris did not appear.

Apart from this, the two witnesses of the Toshakhana case, District Election Commissioner Waqas Malik and ECP Finance Wing Officer Mossadegh Anwar also appeared in the court.

An application for exemption from attendance was filed today on behalf of Chairman PTI.

Lawyer Gauhar Ali Khan, giving arguments, said that the court is requested to adjourn the hearing till Monday.

Lawyer Amjad Pervaiz objected to the exemption of chairman PTI from attendance today and said that there is no concrete reason for the request for exemption from attendance today, if the trial is going on, he should be in the court.

Lawyer Amjad Pervez said that the Supreme Court has summoned PTI Chairman on Monday, he should be ordered to submit an affidavit on ensuring his attendance on Monday, and after appearing in the Supreme Court, he should also be directed to appear in the Sessions Court.

Judge Humayun Dilawar remarked that there is nothing else in the file of the Toshah Khana case except for the immunity requests of Chairman PTI. The request that came today was also a request for immunity, you are objecting to the hearing on a daily basis, the court has always accepted their requests for immunity, they have not appeared in the court even once.

The court granted the request for exemption from attendance today and adjourned the hearing of the case till Monday.
