Beit Al-Maqdis: Israeli forces martyred a 17-year-old Palestinian youth participating in a protest against illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.
According to international media reports, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the incident took place in Umm Safa village, north of Ramallah, where Israeli soldiers seriously injured two people, as a result of which one person was martyred due to his injuries.
17-year-old Muhammad Fawad Atta Al-Baid died in the hospital after being shot in the head by Israeli soldiers. Clashes between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers began when Israeli forces opened fire to disperse the protesters.
According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces used live ammunition, rubber bullets and tear gas against Palestinian protesters. Local councils and institutions called for demonstrations against the illegal settlement of Jews in the village center after Friday prayers.
