Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah inaugurated the Capital Police Dolphin Emergency Response Unit, the first unit was assigned to the duties.
On this occasion, the Interior Minister said that the prime minister gave funds due to the increase in street crime, which led to the introduction of the force.
He said that this force will control street crime and crack down on criminals, 900 policemen will join the force.
Rana Sanaullah said that the purpose of the force is to protect religious places of worship and processions.
Addressing the force personnel, he said that your duty is to protect the citizens which is a worship.
He said that there will be 40 vehicles and 200 motorcycles for the first batch of Dolphin Force.
The Interior Minister said that the Dolphin Force was first introduced in Lahore, which will be an important step in controlling street crime in Islamabad.
He further said that I pay tribute to IG Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan and the entire team.
