Karachi, the baby monkey escaped from the court, the search will be conducted again today

One of the monkey cubs brought to the City Court Karachi yesterday along with the accused ran away and climbed the trees which could not be caught. The search will be started again this morning.

The Sindh Wildlife Department recovered 14 baby monkeys and arrested two suspects and they were presented in court yesterday along with the monkeys.

Sources from Mohamaka Wildlife say that the baby monkey is very small and is present in the tree, the baby monkeys were in the mango pits and some wood was removed for the passage of air from which one baby came out.

The baby monkey is difficult to catch as it is very small and fast, the other 13 children were handed over to the zoo management on the court order.

A team from the wildlife department was present at the city court to catch the baby monkey, but the search operation was stopped till morning due to late night.

It should be noted that the Sindh Wildlife Department told the court yesterday that in an operation near the toll plaza, 14 newborn monkeys were recovered from a passenger bus coming from Charsadda, while two suspects, Junaid and Ali Bahar, were arrested.

The investigating officer requested the court to send the newborn monkeys back to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which the court rejected and ordered the monkeys to be handed over to the management of the Karachi Zoo.

On this occasion, the court also imposed a fine of one lakh rupees on the accused.

The court decision further said that the monkey children should be handed over to the zoo management to provide a better environment.
