The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved a grant of Rs 42.5 billion for the general elections.
A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, in which the summary of the Election Commission was approved.
Sources say that the final approval of the funds for the elections will be taken from the federal cabinet, 10 billion rupees will be initially released to the Election Commission.

Solar Panel and Allied Equipment Manufacturing Policy was also included in the agenda of the meeting.
