Sweden, protest in front of the European Parliament on the desecration of the Holy Quran


A large protest has been held in front of the European Parliament by the Muslim community of Belgium against the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden.

Hundreds of people from the Pakistani, Afghan and Bangladeshi communities participated in the demonstration at Luxembourg Square, while the Pakistani Christian community and the Sikh community living in Belgium also participated in the demonstration to show solidarity.

The protesters held copies of the Holy Quran in their hands, and various pamphlets expressing their feelings about the desecration of the Quran.

In this protest, which started with Nizamat by Allama Hasnat Ahmad Bukhari and recitation by Maulana Qari Ansar Noorani, the speakers strongly condemned the incident and termed it as a deliberate attempt to harm inter-faith harmony and brotherhood.

On this occasion, all the speakers demanded the European Union and the European Parliament to enact legislation to stop the desecration of the Holy Quran in Europe.

During the speeches of the speakers, the protesters kept shouting slogans in English and Urdu languages ​​demanding to stop the desecration of the Quran and to punish those who commit such actions.

Among the speakers who spoke on this occasion were Allama Rabbani Afghani, Imam Hafiz Mudassar of Bangla Mosque, Haji Muhammad Hashim Hanif of Afghan community, Shakeel Gohar, Chaudhry Parvez Lohsar, Riyaz Khan of Pakhtun community, Sheikh Kashif and others.

Former Member of Brussels Parliament Dr. Manzoor Zahoor and Councilor Nasir Chaudhry also spoke in French and English languages.

On behalf of the Christian community of Pakistan, Bishop Arshad Khokhar also strongly condemned the incident and expressed full solidarity with the Muslim community.

He said that all holy books are respected by us and their denial is a cause of great pain.

Women and children also participated in this demonstration and were supporting the sentiments of their parents by carrying books.

In this demonstration, special attention was paid to this and the visiting speakers were repeatedly urged and reminded from the stage to take care of the sphere of law to express their feelings.

Finally, a memorandum was also presented to the members of the European Parliament on behalf of the protesters.
