Like other cities of Punjab, monsoon rains have started in Lahore too, heavy rains and light rains in some places.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum rainfall of 90 mm has been recorded in the city so far.
On the arrival of monsoon in Lahore, the rain started, the clouds thundered and then it rained heavily, despite the strong wind, the city remained in a state of chaos, the low-lying areas and roads were flooded due to the heavy rain.
According to the Meteorological Department, the current series of rains will continue till July 22, more rain is likely to occur in the next 24 hours.
According to PDMA, 180,000 thousand cusecs of water was transferred from Ojh river to Ravi river, 150,000 thousand cusecs of water from Tawi river will be added to Chenab river.
DG PDMA has ordered the Deputy Commissioners of the districts connected to the river Ravi and Chenab to complete the advance arrangements at the earliest.
