Beijing: Relations between the United States and China began to recover after tensions and tensions over the Taiwan issue.
According to the World News Agency, US special representative John Kerry arrived in China where he will meet his counterpart Xi Jinping and discuss climate change.
The talks were stalled last year when US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan ignoring China’s displeasure.
However, John Kerry, who is currently the US President’s Climate Adviser and former Secretary of State, has persuaded China to negotiate on climate change despite tensions, tensions and enormous problems.
According to the World Meteorological Organization, the resumption of US-China climate talks will take place during the hottest week on record globally.
The US State Department, referring to the UN climate talks in November, said that John Kerry’s goal is to promote COP28 and negotiate with China on the issue.
It should be noted that nearly 200 countries will gather in the United Arab Emirates for COP28 to find ways to reduce global warming and its effects.
As a leading producer of greenhouse gases driving climate change, China has committed to peak carbon emissions by 2030 and achieve complete carbon neutrality by 2060.
It should be noted that John Kerry is the third major US representative to visit China. Earlier, Foreign Minister Anthony Blanken and Finance Minister Janet Yellen have also visited to strengthen relations between the two countries.
