Mumbai: Actress Simona, who played the role of Kapil Sharma’s wife in the popular Indian comedy show, has said that her physical features were mocked during the live show in the initial episodes.
According to a global news agency, Indian television actress Simona Chakraborty revealed in an interview that in the first episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Kapil Sharma forgot his lines and went off script and started making fun of my lips and mouth.
Recalling that moment, Simona Chakraborty further said that no one in the audience laughed or applauded when Kapil Sharma made fun of my lips and mouth. Kapil’s joke was very bad for me too.
The actress further said that Archana sensed my bad behavior and came to me and asked why you are not upset. I told him that in the environment I come from, such comments on one’s physical features are not passed.
On which Archana explained that she has seen many women paying money to undergo surgery to make features like your face and lips are very beautiful, but this happens in comedy. If you learn to laugh at yourself, you will never feel bad.
According to Simona Chakraborty, after that I did not celebrate badly, but now I also apply red lipstick on my lips.
