Provincial Agriculture Adviser Manzoor Wasan will give wheat seeds to the flood affected farmers

The Sindh government has decided to provide wheat seed money to the flood-affected farmers at the end of February this month.

Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sindh’s Agriculture Advisor Manzoor Hussain Wasan, a review meeting of the new and ongoing agricultural schemes of the Department of Agriculture was held in the committee room of the Sindh Secretariat.

Secretary Agriculture Ijaz Mahesar, Cane Commissioner, Cotton Commissioner, DGs of all wings of the department, Hidayatullah Chhajru, Noor Muhammad Baloch, Tharoo Mal, Nadeem Shah, Divisional Directors and other relevant officers participated in the meeting.

In the meeting, Agriculture Adviser Manzoor Wasan was briefed on the ongoing and new agricultural schemes of the Agriculture Department and the progress on the wheat seed payment program to the flood affected farmers was also reviewed.

Secretary Agriculture Ijaz Ahmed Mahesar while briefing the meeting said that 16 out of 28 schemes of all wings of the Department of Agriculture have been completed, other schemes will also be completed as soon as possible.

Director General Extension, Hidayatullah Chhajru, during a briefing in the meeting, said that 5 thousand rupees per acre of wheat seeds will be provided to the flood-affected farmers of Sindh at the end of February this month. Amount will be provided under
