Islamabad: In various operations of ANF, 127 kg of drugs were recovered and 8 suspects were arrested.
According to the spokesman of the Anti-Narcotics Force, anti-narcotics operations are ongoing across the country. In this regard, 127 kg of drugs have been recovered in 6 different operations and 8 suspects have been arrested.
45 kg 600 grams of hashish was recovered from the vehicle at M1 Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad, which was hidden in a secret compartment in the fuel tank and in the extra tire (stepney). ANF arrested 3 suspects including a woman resident of Peshawar and Lahore.
On the other hand, 600 grams of hashish hidden in the bag of the accused, a resident of Jhelum, near Tarkai Toll Plaza on Suhawa Jhelum was recovered. Meanwhile, 24 kg opium and 42 kg hashish hidden in a rickshaw near Jardanwala Faisalabad were recovered and the accused resident of Faisalabad was arrested.
Apart from this, 12 kg hashish was recovered from the accused resident of Quetta near Main Super Highway Karachi. In an operation at the head office of the courier company in Karachi, 735 grams of heroin was recovered from a parcel containing 7 door handles, which was skillfully hidden in the steel handles. The said parcel was booked for UK.
In another operation, 2 kg 400 grams of hashish was recovered from the possession of 2 suspects, local residents, near Tank Road, Dera Ismail Khan.
Cases have been registered against all the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act and further investigation has been initiated.
