The Lahore High Court acquitted the accused accused of belonging to a terrorist organization.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi and Justice Amjad Rafiq heard the appeal of the criminal.
The court gave the benefit of doubt and decided to acquit Rahmatullah.
The Lahore High Court remarked that extracting phone data without the permission of the accused or the magistrate is against Article 13, taking personal phone data is not a good practice, it is against the right to privacy.
The court said that if the accused does not agree, permission should be sought from the magistrate to take the phone records.
The Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore sentenced the accused to a total of 10 years.
