Ahsan Iqbal said that no one has an option to escape from the constitution, the country has to be led towards stability, there is zero tolerance for chaos.
The federal minister also said that the caretaker government will be established by consensus, the country needs reforms at this time, it is not possible to bring reforms with a weak mandate.
Talking about the census, Ahsan Iqbal said that the schedule was that the results of the census would be notified by April 30, the provinces asked for more time for the census, the census process was completed on May 31. , the final census showed an extraordinary increase in the population of some areas.
Ahsan Iqbal further said that it has been suggested that overcounting should be reviewed with the help of SPARCO, I do not think that the process of finalizing the census can be completed before July 30, four months after the dissolution of the assemblies. Constituencies cannot be covered, it is most likely that the Election Commission has to take the final decision.
The federal minister said that if the election is to be held within the fixed period, then it will have to be held on the basis of the 2017 constituencies. Two-thirds majority is required for the constitutional amendment. According to me, it is not possible that the results of the new census can be carried out according to the timetable of the election. To give the final shape, the Prime Minister has said that elections will be held on time.
