Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa again sent the summary to the governor for the dismissal of the provincial minister

Peshawar: The Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan dismissed as unjustified the objections raised by the governor on the summary regarding the dismissal of the provincial Minister of Industry Adnan Jalil from the cabinet and sent the summary to the governor again to remove the minister from the said position.

In the summary sent again by the Chief Minister to the Governor, it is said that the objections raised by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regarding the removal of the caretaker provincial minister Adnan Jalil from his post, have been resolved by the appointment of his advisers and special assistants. A detailed review was done in the light of the relevant Act 1999.

The Caretaker Government is acting under constitutional powers and the removal of any minister from his post is an administrative matter which will not incur any financial burden as it is a division and reshuffling of portfolios among ministers. It is a matter that can be done by the provincial government under the rules of business of the provincial government, 1985.

In the summary sent by the Chief Minister to the Governor, it is clarified that under Article 105 of the Constitution, the Governor will perform his duties according to the advice of the Cabinet and the Chief Minister, therefore Governor Adnan Jalil Provincial Minister for Industry, Commerce and Technical Education. De-notify from his post and Matiullah who is currently serving as Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs.

In the summary sent by Azam Khan, by appointing him as the provincial minister, along with sports and youth affairs, the portfolios of the industry and commerce departments should also be handed over to him, while appointing Ashrafullah son of Yaqut Khan as the special assistant to the chief minister. The portfolio of the Education Department should be handed over.
