Islamabad: Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreed on additional revenue.
According to the details, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave in-principle approval to the Amending Finance Bill. Besides, Pakistan has assured the IMF to fulfill the set targets.
In this regard, it was informed that the official announcement of the completion of the 9th Economic Review between Pakistan and the IMF is expected tomorrow (Thursday). According to sources, the development budget is expected to decrease by 350 billion.
Earlier, in an informal conversation with journalists in Islamabad, Federal Minister for Information Maryam Aurangzeb said that negotiations between Pakistan and the IMF are ongoing and efforts are being made as much as possible to make the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund in our favor.
He further said that this is the same IMF agreement which was signed by Chairman PTI Imran Khan, the previous government had suspended this agreement while the present government saved the country from going towards default.
