The phone number is not visible in WhatsApp communities, but when users use reactions emojis on messages, it is possible for other users to see the phone number.
For the privacy of the users, WhatsApp has introduced a feature called Phone Number Privacy in the beta version.
Enabling this feature will only show user phone numbers to community administrators and people saved in their contacts.
It should be noted that this feature was being tested for several months but now it has been introduced to beta users on Android and iOS devices.
Note that access to the phone number privacy feature is currently available to a few users and in a few weeks all users will be able to access this feature.
