Vilnius: No progress was made on the membership of Russia-imposed war-torn Ukraine at the summit of NATO, the Western military alliance.
According to the World News Agency, the declaration of the NATO summit held in Lithuania said that the future of Ukraine is related to NATO, but this will be possible when all the member countries agree and the conditions are met.
The declaration issued at the end of the NATO meeting did not say what are the conditions that Ukraine has to fulfill in order to join NATO and what will be its time frame, but the NATO countries expressed their commitment to military assistance to Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who attended the meeting as a special guest, criticized NATO for not giving a timeframe for membership before the announcement.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that it would be highly unusual and absurd if Ukraine was not invited to join NATO and no time frame was set.
