Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the People’s Party is ready for the election, opposition leader Haleem Adil Shaikh will have to come forward to name the caretaker chief minister.
During the discussion in the Capital Talk program of Geo News, the Sindh Chief Minister said that local body elections are won in the whole of Sindh by the votes of the people here.
He said that the term of the assembly will be completed on August 12 at 12 pm. If the term of the assembly ends, it is written in the constitution that elections will be held in 2 months.
Syed Murad Ali Shah further said that elections will be held in 2 months if the Assembly completes its term and 3 months if it ends earlier.
He said that Haleem Adil Shaikh should come to the assembly, if there are allegations, present evidence, if someone completes 35 members, then the opposition leader can be changed.
The Chief Minister of Sindh also said that Haleem Adil Sheikh was arrested before when the session was held, the government used to bring him to the assembly.
He said that the government has no role in changing the opposition leader, Haleem Adil Sheikh is not known from where he keeps giving video statements.
Murad Ali Shah said that the opposition leader is requested to play his constitutional role, the opposition leader will have to come forward to name the caretaker chief minister, the names cannot be presented in the video statement, he will have to come forward.
He said that on the night of May 9, Shariah Faisal was presenting the scene of a war zone, see burnt vehicles there.
Sindh Chief Minister said that we had a problem of shortage of teachers in Sindh, we have recruited 60 thousand teachers on merit.
He said that there were 2 major floods in Sindh, there was the problem of Corona, the local elections continued for one and a half years and the Election Commission said that they could not recruit.
Murad Ali Shah said that due to these problems the education related programs could not be completed, only in Sindh the ban on student union was lifted.
He said that the Safe City project has brought a lot forward to eradicate drugs and crime, working on increasing the capacity of the police in the slum area.
Chief Minister Sindh said that there is a problem of forced disappearance, he will try to solve this problem, when people are recovered, then they do not tell about the disappearance.
He said that for this reason we are always responsible for this, after the 2022 flood, it was believed that there would be no rabi crop.
Murad Ali Shah said that Allah has blessed, there was more production of wheat in Sindh, a scheme of one and a half billion dollars has been made, 20 lakh houses will be built to be protected from the effects of climate change.
He said that we have secured more than 50% of the money for this scheme, 20 lakh houses have been surveyed, safe houses are starting to be built.
Chief Minister Sindh said that they have arranged a large part of the funds for roads and irrigation channels, the flood was a big test and he had lost heart as to how to provide relief.
He said that we did not leave the people of Sindh helpless, swept the local elections in the flood affected areas, which is proof that the Sindh government has been working.
Murad Ali Shah said that the People’s Party has brought stability in Sindh, since 2018, Tehreek-e-Insaf used to count in the assembly that the Sindh government would end in so many days.
He said that we will fight the election on our own brand, we are always open if there is an alliance after the election.
