The water level in the river Sutlej near Kasur is rising further while the operation to evacuate the people trapped in the flood barrier of the river Sutlej is also going on.

The rescue spokesperson says that rescue teams are moving people to safer places, so far they have provided boat transport service to 2,600 people.

According to the rescue spokesperson, 200 people trapped in the water have been moved to safe places.

Residents’ complaint against rescue personnel

Low level flood at Gandasingwala in Sutlej

Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab says that there is a low-level flood in the river Sutlej at Ganda Singhwala.

According to DG PDMA Imran Qureshi, the inflow and outflow of water at Ganda Singhwala is 57 thousand 380 cusecs.

He has informed that the flow of water in other rivers including Ravi and Chenab is normal.
