Pakistan has borrowed 100 times more than its GDP, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan


Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan has said that Pakistan has taken 100 times more debt than its GDP.

PML-N’s Mossadegh Malik and Mushtaq Ahmad Khan expressed their views in Geo News’ program Capital Talk.

The Jamaat-e-Islami senator said that there is a law that if the debt to GDP increases by 60%, then they cannot borrow more.

He said that Pakistan has borrowed 100 times more than the GDP, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government took a loan of 15 thousand billion rupees in 1 year. A loan of 34 billion was taken daily, Pakistan’s debt has reached 60 thousand billion rupees.

He said that Senator Ishaq Dar is happy that the loans are coming, if the loans came, the prices should have been reduced so that the people get relief, as soon as the loans came, gas, electricity, petroleum levy was increased.

The Jamaat-e-Islami senator also said that present tense was used for loans and future tense for investment.

He said that look at the lending countries, they live like ordinary people, look at the protocol of the ministers of the borrowing countries.

Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said that innocent children and human beings are bleeding from the jaws of Israel, a few days ago 4, 5 people were arrested, who spent 7 years in Israel.

He said that these people had been sending money from Israel to Pakistan, American Pakistanis went to Israel in an NGO, there was also an 18 grade Pakistani officer.

Senator of Jamaat-e-Islami said that there were some Pakistani officers in the delegation that went to Tel Aviv.

Mushtaq Ahmed said that there should be an investigation as to which Pakistani officers went to Tel Aviv in this NGO. In America, they felt that there was immense pressure on Pakistan for relations with Israel.

He said that the fighting is going on in Karam, 12 people have been killed, 70 are injured, the caretaker government, the governor, the prime minister are not going to stop the fighting in Karam.

The Senator of Jamaat-e-Islami said that the Prime Minister went to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and did not even mention Karam, of course distribute laptops but wheat is not available and the price of sugar is increasing.

He said that give one billion rupees to your MNAs for the election, but the loans that are coming to increase the price of wheat, if you do not solve the basic problems, there will be backfire in the election.
