Islamabad: The Election Commission has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for chairman PTI and Fawad Chaudhry in the contempt of commission case.
A 4-member commission headed by Election Commission member Sindh Nisar Durrani heard the contempt of election commission case against Chairman PTI, Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Umar, but no one appeared on behalf of Chairman PTI and Fawad Chaudhry.
During the hearing, assistant lawyer Umaima Mansoor appeared before the Election Commission on behalf of Asad Umar and filed a request to adjourn the hearing. are engaged in the series.
Member Election Commission Ikramullah Khan said that in this way they cannot postpone the hearing every time, to which the assistant counsel replied that Asad Umar has appeared before the Election Commission many times. Member Commission Ikramullah Khan said that attendance is mandatory in the case of contempt of court. On this occasion, the assistant counsel filed a request for exception to the attendance of Asad Umar.
Member Election Commission Nisar Durrani said that the case will not end like this. The commission adjourned the hearing of the case till July 25 and issued non-bailable arrest warrants for chairman PTI and Fawad Chaudhry.
The Election Commission ordered Chairman PTI, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry to appear in person at the next hearing.
