An online taxi driver and a female passenger were killed in a traffic accident in Defense area of Karachi.
In Defense Phase 8, the speeding vehicle overturned after the driver lost control and hit the footpath, as a result of which the online taxi driver and a female passenger were killed and one passenger was seriously injured. The accident was so severe that the occupants of the vehicle were thrown away and the vehicle was badly damaged. The bodies and the injured were shifted to the hospital.
The persons who died in the accident have been identified as 30-year-old Ali Raza son of Nusrat and 25-year-old Sheena of Khatun, while the name of the injured person has been identified as Zohaib.
According to the police, the person injured in the accident is still unconscious and after he regains consciousness, more information about the accident will be available only after making a statement. According to preliminary investigation, the accident occurred due to speeding and further investigation is being conducted in this regard.
