The rumor spread on social media that Australia has imposed a travel ban on more than 50 senior officials of Pakistan’s army and intelligence agencies has been proven false by GeoFact Check.
The false news of the travel ban on senior Pakistani army personnel was released by a verified Twitter account on June 5, which was viewed 71,000 times and retweeted 4,000 times.
The same fake news was also shared on June 5 by a Facebook account.
Geofactcheck contacted the Australian High Commission on this news, which clarified that these reports are false and that no such travel ban has been imposed by Australia on any Pakistani military officer or official.
