The spread of sewage water in the hospital has increased the risk of epidemics like diarrhoea, affecting the hospital staff as well as the patients.

The city warden of the hospital also complains that the drains have been boiling in the hospital premises for the last two and a half months, but the administration is showing constant indifference.

The repair work of laying bricks on the ground of the hospital has also been affected due to the sewage water, the stretchers of the patients also have to pass through the uneven ground, the doors and walls of the hospital are presenting a scene of filth, while there is severe stench from various departments. As he wakes up, the dripping of fetid sewage water from the dilapidated hospital building has become a normal part of the routine.

Dirty water is constantly dripping on patients in the waiting area of ​​the OPD, medicines have disappeared from the hospital, beds and medical consultation are available to patients in the name of free medical facilities, medicines, syringes, cannula and tapes are available in the hospital. There is also an acute shortage of medical supplies.

Citizens are forced to buy supplies from private medical stores, due to the abandonment of the government hospital, the deserving are treated by the charity of the doctors.

The network of CCTV cameras in the hospital is weak, due to which in the past, unknown persons in the hospital have entered the wards and tortured female doctors.

In some departments of the hospital, the doctors have installed cameras under their help, the hospital has become a haven for drug addicts and unknown persons steal hospital items and motorcycles in the parking lot.

In the ideal hospital of the past, the MRI and CT scan machines are now inactive, while the X-ray machine does not produce films, so patients take pictures with mobile phones.

70,000 rupees are paid as salary to doctors doing house jobs in various government hospitals of Karachi, including Jinnah, but doctors doing house jobs at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital were assured to pay 45,000 rupees, but three They have been deprived of it for months.

Doctors protest daily against non-payment of salaries, raising slogans against the hospital administration and KMC officials, due to which the medical discipline of the hospital is also disturbed.

In this regard, when the Express News team contacted the medical superintendent of the hospital, he confirmed these problems and said that he had spoken to the officers of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board for the drainage of the sewage water in the hospital. The officers have assured that the drainage arrangements will be completed immediately.

MS Naseem Ahmed of the hospital said that only 10 to 12 percent of the budget is being given on an average in the last 10 years, the hospital is managing the medicines of the patients with Zakat money.

He said that the MRI and CT scan machines in the hospital are inactive, the X-ray machines do not receive films, the patients take pictures with mobile phones, I hope Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab will pay attention to fully restore the supply of funds to the hospital. will
Deprived of salaries, the doctors complained that we do 30-hour duty indiscriminately in the hospital, even though basic facilities like canteen and washroom are not available in the hospital. He said that in the past, our seniors were also treated in the same way.
