Damascus: The Syrian government has revoked the permits of two local correspondents working for the British broadcaster BBC.
Syria’s Ministry of Information issued a statement saying that the permits of two local correspondents working for the BBC had been revoked because they broadcast false and politicized news.
The ministry said a BBC correspondent and a camera operator had their permits to work in the country revoked following subjective and false information and reports about Syria.
The BBC, on the other hand, said that its Arabic news service has provided impartial and independent reporting by talking to people in the political arena and that we will continue to provide impartial news and information to our audiences in the Arabic-speaking world. .
