In India, a man committed suicide after his daughter’s rapist was released from prison.
A man in the city of Vidisha in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh has also ended his life two months after the rape of his daughter by a young man and the victim’s suicide.
According to local media, police officials said that on May 25, the victim committed suicide after accusing six people of rape.
Later, a case was registered by the police against the said accused and one of them was arrested, who was identified as Sudeep Dhak.
According to the police officials, after two months the accused was released from the jail on the orders of the court, due to which the father of the victim girl was very sad. After the release of the accused Sudeep Dhak, the father of the girl also committed suicide.
Following the incident, state Home Minister Narottam Mishra has ordered an inquiry, after which the Deputy Inspector General will investigate the incident and submit a report within three days. According to which further action will be taken.
The Home Minister told the media that two persons have been arrested in connection with the death of the girl’s father and the in-charge and head constable of the concerned police station have been suspended from duty.
