Los Angeles: Amazon Chief Executive Andy Jesse has expressed concerns over the cost of some programs on its OTT platform, with Priyanka Chopra’s web series ‘Citadel’ at the top.
The Indian Superstar and Richard Madden starrer series did not receive good feedback from film critics and fans while its budget was over $250 million.
According to a Bloomberg report, Andy Jessee has issued instructions to provide a detailed budget analysis of Amazon’s six major programs.
The list of programs includes ‘Dizzy Jones and the Six’, ‘The Power’, ‘Dead Rangers’ and ‘The Peripheral’ in addition to ‘Citadel’.
It should be noted that the new series of Lord of the Rings, ‘The Rings of Power’, made at a cost of 400 million dollars, has been suffering from difficulties in getting the attention of the audience in its first season.
