Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s daughter Ara Khan has opened up about depression and her mental health.
According to an Indian media report, in an interview, Ara Khan said that she became a victim of deration after the divorce of parents Aamir Khan and Reena.
He further said that the separation of parents was completely amicable with mutual consent but still I was saddened.
During the interview, Ara Khan opened up about her mental health and also spoke candidly about her years-long battle against rape.
He said that she has been fighting depression for 5 years, after the divorce of her parents, she was sad for about a year and a half and had stopped eating.
The actor’s daughter said, “I came to know about my mental health when I cried for 8 hours and slept for 10 hours. I then decided to drop out of college in the Netherlands and come to India.”
Ara Khan has created a foundation to provide mental health awareness and support to people.
