The Meteorological Department has predicted rain from today to July 9 across Sindh including Karachi.
There is a possibility of rain with wind and thunder in Karachi city and suburbs.
Apart from this, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Qamber, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Larkana, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Thatta, Sajawal and Badin are also likely to experience thundershowers at isolated places.
On the other hand, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab has imposed rain emergency in the city.
Murtaza Wahab visited the underpasses of different areas of the city and reviewed their condition before the rains.
Mayor Karachi said that efforts should be made not to stop water in the underpasses during rains.
He said that all relevant departments of KMC will remain open round the clock.
