Madhya Pradesh authorities razed the house of an accused accused of urinating on the head of a tribal youth in public.
In a video widely shared on social media, Parvesh Shukla can be seen urinating on the head of a young man while smoking a cigarette. The said incident took place last year in Madhya Pradesh’s central district of Siddhi, but this week it became the focus of people’s attention when it was shared on social media.
According to the local police, Parvesh Shukla has been arrested and can be fined and jailed for one year for the said crime.
According to a Hindustan Times report, Parvesh Shukla was arrested around 2 am on Wednesday when Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took notice of the incident and directed the police to arrest him immediately.
Police officer Ravinder Verma later told the foreign news agency AFP that authorities demolished Parvesh Shukla’s house after it was “found to be illegally constructed”.
Later, Indian news website ‘The Print’ reported that CM Mishra washed the tribal man’s feet at his residence in Bhopal today and apologized for the incident.
