Lawmakers in France have agreed to allow police to monitor suspects through their mobile phones.
The police will monitor the suspects through cameras, microphones and GPS in their phones and other devices.
According to the law, the whereabouts of suspects can be traced through laptops, vehicles, phones and other devices connected to the Internet.
All these provisions are part of a ‘Justice Reform Bill’, which has been opposed by parliamentarians from both the right and the left.
Under the new law, the devices will also be used to record the voice and images of people involved in alleged terrorist activities.
