Islamabad: In the joint session of the National Assembly, the condemnation resolution against the Sweden incident was unanimously approved.
The resolution was presented by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Murtaza Javed Abbasi. The resolution said that the House strongly condemns the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and urges action against the incident.
Besides, the resolution said that the House believes in respecting all religions and holy books, and expects that such incidents will not happen in the future.
In the resolution, it was said that incidents like Islamophobia and spreading hatred against Muzeeb will be taken seriously and the forum of the Islamic Summit Conference on this matter will be used to address Islamophobia.
The resolution said that the international community should take special measures regarding inter-religious harmony and Islamophobia. Later, the Parliament session was adjourned till 25 July at 5 pm.
