Islamabad: The federal government has issued a notification of 17 and a half percent increase in the pension of retired employees.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the increase in the pension of all the pensioners of the federal government, including the civil pensioners of the defense and the retired employees of the armed forces and the retired employees of the civil armed forces, has been approved from July 1.

The increase in pension will also apply to family pension. From July 1, the minimum pension has been increased from Rs 10 thousand to Rs 12 thousand.
It should be noted that the federal government had announced an increase of 35 percent in the salaries of government employees and 17 and a half percent in pension in the budget of the next financial year, while the pension of EOBI pensioners has also been increased to 10,000 rupees.
