The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a high alert of possible floods in the province.
According to PDMA spokesperson, India is likely to release water in Ravi and Sutlej.
The high alert of PDMA said that there is a possibility of very high level of flood in Jhelum, Sutlej, Ravi and Chenab rivers from July 8 to 10.
According to the spokesman, there is a fear of increasing the risk of flooding in the province due to the release of water by India.
The PDMA has issued a high alert to all the provincial departments including the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of Punjab and has directed them to complete the arrangements immediately.
