A building collapsed in Quetta, one dead and five injured

Quetta: One laborer died and five were injured when a building under construction collapsed in Quetta.

According to DG PDMA, five people were buried under the debris due to the collapse of the roof during the construction work on Stewart Road, the body of one laborer was recovered from the debris of the building while 5 others were taken out with injuries and have been shifted to the hospital.

After the incident, Coordinator Chief Minister Balochistan Babar Yousafzai, Administrator Quetta Jabbar Baloch and other officers reached the spot and reviewed the relief work.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo expressed regret over the building incident and directed the administration to continue full relief activities. On the order of the Chief Minister, emergency was imposed in the civil hospital.

Abdul Qudous Bizenjo said that better medical facilities should be provided to the injured, all relevant institutions should be alert and no negligence should be done in relief activities.
