The Peshawar High Court disposed of the petition regarding the disqualification of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The disqualification petition of Chairman PTI was heard by a two-member bench comprising Justice SM Atiq Shah and Justice Waqar Ahmed of Peshawar High Court. The court disposed of the petition filed for the disqualification of Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman as ineffective.

The petitioner’s counsel had argued that the PTI chairman had made false statements in the nomination papers filed for NA 35 constituencies and had not disclosed his daughter Teriyan, hence he was no longer honest and trustworthy.

The court, while disposing of the disqualification petition, said that since the Chairman PTI has already left this seat, his disqualification petition from this constituency is no longer admissible.
