Damascus: The Syrian government has said that it has destroyed the salvo missile launched by Israel in the air with the help of an anti-aircraft missile.
Israel has stepped up its attacks on Syrian airports and air bases in recent months, which the Israeli government has justified as cutting off airstrikes for weapons from Iran to its allies in Syria and Lebanon, including Hezbollah. .
Syrian state media say air defenses intercepted Israeli missiles in central parts of the country and shot down most of them. The Syrian army said in its statement that the missiles flying over parts of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, fell in places around the city of Homs, resulting in only material damage.
On the other hand, the Israeli army also confirmed the anti-aircraft missile fired by Syria. Israeli warplanes hit the Syrian air base from where the missile was launched and other targets, an army spokesman said.
