The Meteorological Department has predicted monsoon rains. Monsoon rains are likely to begin across the country from July 3 to July 8.
The Meteorological Department says that humid winds in the Arabian Sea are entering the upper regions of the country. Heavy rain and hail are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree and Galiat from July 3 to 8. Thunderstorm likely to occur in Barkhan, Lasbela, DI Khan, Multan from 5th to 8th July.
Sukkur, Jacobabad, Thatta, Umarkot, Hyderabad are likely to experience thundershowers on July 7 and 8, while urban flooding is likely due to rain in Rawalpindi, Islamabad from July 4 to 7.
The meteorological department says that there is a risk of landslides in the hilly areas of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan. There is a fear of flood situation in DI Khan due to heavy rain on 6th to 8th July.
The Meteorological Department issued instructions to the tourists and related organizations to be cautious, saying that the weak infrastructure may be damaged by the rain accompanied by wind and thunder.
