One accused who demanded extortion from the Gurdwara administrators was also arrested while the search for the others is on.
The police said that the case has been registered in the complaint of Head Gurdwara Amarjit Singh, the case has included threats to kill, extortion, disruption of worship and other provisions, raids are being conducted to arrest other named accused.
According to the FIR, the accused came to the Gurdwara and stopped worship, threatened to kill, the accused have been blackmailing by filing various applications and petitions.
By stopping the construction work of the Gurdwara, the accused have taken an extortion of Rs 7 lakh 50 thousand, a few days ago the accused had demanded another Rs 1 lakh.
The police presented the arrested accused before the civil judge for remand, the court sent the accused to jail on 14-day remand.
