Karachi: A businessman was killed while his friend was injured in firing by bandits during a robbery in Bheans Colony.
According to Express News, armed suspects looted a bakery in Malir Buffalo Colony in Sukhan police station limits and robbed the bakery owner and employees of Rs 6 lakh.
After the incident in the bakery, the 6-member group started looting from the nearby citizens, upon which Zahid, a businessman of Malir, resisted. The armed accused opened fire, killed Zahid Qureshi and injured his friend, and fled the scene.
According to SSP Malir, the armed accused have used big weapons, the recording of the CCTV cameras installed in the bakery has been obtained, with the help of which the accused will be arrested soon.
Meanwhile, the residents of the area protested against the killing of Zahid Qureshi and blocked the road for traffic, after which SSP Malir Hasan Sardar suspended SHO Sukhan Rao Zaheer, DSP Sukhan, the residents of the area. Successfully negotiated with and assured the arrest of the killers of Zahid Qureshi in three days.
