Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has confirmed the increase in electricity prices and petroleum developer levy for the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
While holding a press conference with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore, Ishaq Dar says that electricity prices may increase by three to four rupees, which will be applied from July. He said that he does not want to hide anything.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that we should not hide anything, which country gives subsidy of 1300 billion only in the form of electricity, petroleum levy will be increased by two and a half rupees every month.
He said that the Prime Minister was hesitant to impose a tax of 215 billion rupees on the nation.
