Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says that he will fulfill all his promises, to recover the damage that has happened, he persuaded the IMF in the last 10 days, he wanted the IMF program not to last more than 9 months.
The Prime Minister took the people into confidence at an important press conference in Lahore after the signing of the agreement between the Government of Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman were also present on this occasion.
Ishaq Dar said that the Prime Minister was very interested in the IMF agreement, he was reluctant to impose a tax of 215 billion rupees on the nation.
The Finance Minister said that even if there was no IMF, Plan B would have existed, we should not have defaulted in Plan B, fiscal discipline is also necessary like democracy.
He said that our capital market value had exceeded 100 billion dollars, our gas pipeline is the longest in the world.
Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan suffered a huge economic loss, these people continued to spread frustration inside and outside the country. Thanks to Allah we have made every payment on time, Pakistan is not a defaulting country, this is my faith.
He said that we are also very grateful for China’s cooperation, we will fulfill all our promises, God willing.
