On the first day of Eid-ul-Adha in Karachi, 30,000 tons of garbage was picked up from different areas and delivered to the landfill sides.
Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab said in a statement that a total of 30,000 tons of furniture have been removed from across the city.
He said that the materials were picked up from different places and transported to the landfill sides.
Mayor Karachi said that the fumigation work has also been completed by removing the furniture from 111 camps built across the city.
Murtaza Wahab said that the staff of Solid Waste and KMC worked hard throughout the day to whom I salute them.
He further said that on the second day of Eid-ul-Adha, the work of carrying the goods will continue after the sacrifice.
