Karachi: The Motorway Police took action against buses and vans for collecting excess fare from passengers on M9, the excess fare was returned to the passengers and fined Rs 2 lakh on 200 buses and vans.
According to the details, the Motorway Police cracked down on the transporters charging higher fares than the passengers going to their homes on Eid while taking action near Karachi Toll Plaza, Nooriabad and Hyderabad Toll Plaza.
The Motorway Police has returned the fare charged to the passengers on the M-Nine exceeding Rs 7 lakh. In this regard, about 200 buses and vans have been fined over Rs 2 lakh. .
