Lahore: International snooker player Majid Ali committed suicide.
According to sources, cueist Majid Ali, who represented Pakistan in international snooker competitions, put his neck under the electric saw machine, he died on the spot due to excessive bleeding.
Sources say that Majid Ali was suffering from depression and under treatment for three years. The National Quest was not married.
Majid Ali won the silver medal by playing the final of the Asian Junior Snooker Championship 2014.
Meanwhile, when contacted, former world snooker champion Mohammad Asif said that he had met Majid in Faisalabad a week ago, he was not worried but was disappointed.
After the legal proceedings, the body of Majid Ali will be handed over to the heirs while the burial will be held in his native area of Sarandi.
