Many dangerous prisoners escaped by breaking Chaman District Jail

When the prisoners were taken out of the barracks for morning prayers, they attacked the police and escaped after injuring an officer.

The prisoners involved in murder, attempted murder and serious crimes in the police jail attacked the police from inside the jail. The police said that when a dozen prisoners were taken out of the barracks for prayers early in the morning, they attacked them.

302 other accused involved in serious crimes were imprisoned in Barrack No. 4. Prisoners from barracks number 1, 2 and 3 went to the mosque to pray. After that, when the prisoners involved in dangerous crimes were taken out to pray in Barrack No. 4, they all attacked together.

According to the barrack in-charge, more than 15 dangerous prisoners attacked me with the crutches of disabled prisoners. The prisoners came out and entered the prison premises and snatched the official Kalashnikov from the sentry standing at the main gate and opened fire on the policemen inside the prison.

An officer was injured in the firing by the prisoners and has been shifted to the hospital. The prisoners broke the lock by firing at the main gate and escaped by opening the gate. More than 12 prisoners are included among those who escaped.

This police sub-jail is located on Taj Road, near which is the city police station.

SP Naeem Achakzai said that immediately after the incident, the police took action and the Quick Response Force conducted a search operation.

There was an encounter between the police and the accused in the area of ​​Hudi Pakht and Gorai Kahol. In the retaliatory action of the police, one prisoner was killed and two injured who have been shifted to the hospital.

SP Naeem Achakzai said that the escaped prisoners could be facilitators from outside. On the occasion of Eid, the duties of some policemen were assigned to the Eidgahs due to which the number of policemen in the jail was less.

A quick response operation is underway to recapture the escaped prisoners.
